A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed to boost cooperation for the development of guiding criteria for Arabic language curricula in education and setting standards in that teaching.
The MOU was signed by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), in coordination with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
The joint declaration of intent also aims to prepare guides for distance teaching of the Arabic language, holding training programs, working sessions and capacity-building programs and seminars for experts and specialists as well as exchanging joint research, a report from state news agency SPA said.
The MOU reflects the Saudi national institutions’ role in supporting ALECSO work by increasing the partnerships and projects between the Kingdom and the organization, the report added.
